In one advertisement, the speed of the internet has increased from 3 to 300 megabits
Aaron Appstein, a resident of North Hollywood in the United States, had placed an advertisement in a newspaper at a cost of around Rs 8 lakh. The point is, he can't watch video services and watch TV online because of the slow internet connection. Then the brawl started. Instead of 3 megabits per second, Epstein gets a connection of 300 megabits.
Epstein is now 90 years old. He has been a customer of AT&T for 60 years of his long life. His parents were the same. But in recent years, the company's 'Lightning Fast' internet speed ads have only increased his frustration. He repeatedly called the customer service center but did not get any good answer. "The question I've been frustrated with for five years is, why aren't you giving me a high-speed Internet connection?"
In his words, ‘Sometimes the speed of the internet was so low that it was like watching a slide show, not a movie. And then the wisdom came to mind. '
He plans to place an ad in the New York City edition of The Wall Street Journal. However, advertising in such an influential and popular newspaper is not cheap at all. Appstein spent হাজার 10,099 on the ad, including his phone number, e-mail address and open letter.
In the ad, Aaron Appstein wrote an open letter to John T. Stankey, CEO of AT&T. "AT&T prides itself on being at the forefront of electronic communication," he wrote in the letter. But for the residents of North Hollywood, AT&T is now a name of despair.
Many people contacted Epstein after he published the ad. Some have suggested ways to increase the speed of the Internet. Many have told competitors to take up internet services.
Aaron Appstein uses the Internet connection to watch video streaming services and online TV with his wife Anna. He doesn't know much about technology. Epstein was told many people shared their grievances on social media. Why did you go to advertise without it? In response, he said, "How about posting on social media?"
However, the method of advertising finally worked. Appstein received a call from AT&T. Even CEO John Stankio personally contacted him, according to Arstecnica.com. Corporations don't always listen to ordinary people, Epstein said. They listen to the media.
Many people have taken pictures of the advertisement and shared it on social media like Twitter. Epstein's ad was published on 3 February. Within a week, AT&T launched a fiber service in North Hollywood, USA, to replace the existing technology. Aaron gets 300 megabits per second unlimited internet connection. He is paying ড 45 a month for this. And after 12 months, you have to pay মাসে 75 per month.
