The United States has a bill to grant citizenship to 11 million immigrants

The United States has a bill to grant citizenship to 11 million immigrants

Democrats have introduced a bill to give citizenship to 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States. The bill was raised Thursday as part of President Joe Biden's immigration plan. The bill states that there is no rationale for denying these large numbers of immigrants permanent residency in the United States. They brought the bill to give that opportunity.

Biden called the immigration policy reform a "long-term demand" for granting citizenship to these immigrants. He says their goal was to move away from the "wrong policy" of his predecessor, Donald Trump. The main goals of Trump's immigration policy have been to prevent the entry of illegal immigrants, reduce the number of legal immigrants, and expel undocumented immigrants who have lived for decades.

One controversial decision after another has been made against immigrants since Trump came to power in the United States. Building walls across the border to stop the influx of immigrants, deporting legal immigrants and issuing visas to skilled foreign workers were reduced during the Trump administration.

But the new bill, introduced during the Biden administration, emphasizes the legal protection of millions of immigrants. Most of these immigrants are from Central America and Mexico, who have been living in the United States for many years. They have businesses, homes, and children and grandchildren born in the United States.

In a statement, Biden said, "Immigration is an immeasurable source of our energy and it is essential for our nation." It will reunite family members, improve and strengthen our economy, and protect our security. "

The main goal of the new bill is to provide citizenship to 11 million undocumented immigrants living and working in the United States over the next eight years. Among these migrants, agricultural workers and dreamers who come with their families as children will be given the opportunity to settle down quickly or be given green cards to work legally.

Democrat Sen. Bob Mendez, a staunch supporter of the bill, says now is the right time to get all 11 million undocumented immigrants out of the dark. He said the bill would improve the living standards of migrants as well as the country's economy and progress.

Organizations working on the rights of immigrants have said they hope the bill will pass Congress. If not, they have called on the Biden administration to consider alternatives.
