Trump also slammed his untimely friend
Senator Mitch McConnell, the top leader of the Republican Party, could not escape the wrath of Donald Trump in the impeachment court. Former President Trump has described his colleague McConnell as a stubborn, grumpy, and serious political leader. Trump also said that the party would never be strong and respected by the people if it had such a leader.
McConnell was Trump's four-year ally. As Trump has been in power, he has always sided with Trump as the leader of the majority party in the Senate. He has remained close to Trump even long after Democrat candidate Joe Biden won the last presidential election.
But McConnell, standing in the Senate after the January 8 violence by Trump's fiercest supporters on Capitol Hill, said former President Trump has a moral responsibility to incite violence. At one point it was thought he would vote for Trump in the impeachment court.
But McConnell changed position in the Senate. It was then thought that some more Republican senators could change positions. The situation did not go that way.
McConnell delivered a speech against Trump. And voted for him!
Senator McConnell reiterated that Trump has a responsibility to incite violence, even though he was acquitted for the second time. He wrote a column in the Wall Street Journal and indirectly blamed Trump for his reckless actions. In the column, McConnell said he voted in favor of the U.S. Constitution, not Trump when voting in the impeachment court.
The post-impeachment reality is different for Trump. Republican leaders leaning toward extreme right conservatism are now swearing at Trump. Senator Lindsay is meeting with Graham Trump, along with party leader Kevin McCarthy in the House of Representatives. They have sought Trump's support for the party in the mid-2022 election.
Ten Republicans in the House of Representatives and six in the Senate voted against Trump. They are now infuriated by their own state Republican committee. Trump supporters are now vocal against those who are not retiring or withdrawing from the election.
After being acquitted of the impeachment sentence, Trump made a brief statement thanking his lawyers and the leaders and workers in the party who came forward to support him. Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online. Although Trump did not attend the rally, he raised his hand to greet supporters as he passed by the convoy.
In another statement Tuesday, Trump slammed veteran Senator McConnell. Trump says McConnell is a frustrated, dull, and sullen political intruder. McConnell will never do what is right and necessary for the country.
Trump has said he will support candidates who make "Make America Again" and prioritize the United States in party primaries. Trump said in his statement that talented, strong, and thoughtful leadership is needed now. He noted that the country would not work with third-tier politicians like McConnell at such a moment.
Kentucky Senator McConnell, known as one of the most senior and top leaders of the Republican Party, has been elected to the Senate since 1975. Liberal-Conservative Senator McConnell is currently the leader of the Republican Party in the Senate. Prior to January 20, he was the leader of the majority party in the Senate.
